I have a bit of a situation on my hands. My boyfriend wants to join the military - again, and I don't like it. He went once before a couple of years ago, but we weren't as "committed" back then so I didn't really have a say.

Is it unfair for me to say that I want him to stay home.? Am I being selfish for thinking like this.?

I want him safe and I want him here with me. A lot can happen in 12 months, you know?

this is a really dumb question since I don't know anything. I read an article once about a really good director who recently (at the time of the article) directed a horror film. it was a bit more of a drama sort of horror, not like with too much blood and gore and all. it was about a little girl who died in a horrible way I'm fairly sure, and she "comes back" to help her family go through the grief.... I think...

it's from 2004 or 2006.

I know this could sound terribly wrong and offensive and everything, but I'm very "fascinated" along with horrified and all the usual by what happened at sept. 11th 2001. I don't wish I was there, of course, that would be awful, but if anyone have something, like if you were there, or you heard it.. I'd like to se it from a human perspective, and not "just" from the tv.

to keep this short I'd like to ask if someone would have some sort of topic not many people have touched before.. maybe something I could work on... I gotta see if this is really what I should do with my life. a conflict in your own life, a song a poem, anything.

I might, no, I DO have a friend who is just on the line of killing herself. it's horrifying to watch. I have been through a stage like that recently, too, so I thought I could help her, but I can't. I simply don't know what to tell her anymore. she does see a shrink every once in awhile, and the only positive thing I can see is the fact that she WANTS to be helped, and that she can talk to someone about it.. she's had a hell of a life; was a grown up in her head at 5 years old. that's not good for anymore, to grow up like that. I can talk to her sure, but it's like she has a 2 face personality, and it's hard to see through, because she's so good at seeming happy. I just know she's not.

So, this didn't get as short as I'd liked it to, but any advice..? anyone.? I'd appreciate anything you can give me.
