lonely or alone.? what's your definition..?

I would say the difference is that being alone is physical, while being lonely is emotional. I do enjoy being alone at times. I'm an introvert, and tend to get drained when surrounded by many people so I need some quiet time for myself. I do also frequently get lonely when I don't want to be alone anymore yet still am. I can also get lonely in a room full of people if I'm not with the person I most want to be with. Since being lonely is emotional, it doesn't always depend on what's physically going on. I can also have that moment when I'm with the one I want to be with (thus, not alone) and still feel lonely if we've gotten into a fight or he is not emotionally connecting with me. Hopefully that clarifies my definitions.

my entire family is in louisiana. I am 700 miles away in a frickin cold place where people are very different. I am alone and lonely. i am alone even when at a busy store becuase i don't have those ppl i know and love around. I am lonely becuase i dont know anyone either. i grewup an only child so i HATE being ALONE . there isnt really anything i woudnt mind doing with company! nothing freaking so don't think like that. dont know if i was much help llol

This is really quite simple.

Alone: This is the physical state of having no one around you. e.g "She is stood there alone."

Lonely: This is the feeling of being alone, where a person may in fact be alone or not. e.g "I feel so lonely".

if someone likes being alone they are introverted. And being alone is having no one around and being lonely is wanting company, but you can be lonely when you're surrounded by a lot of people.

Don't like being Alone and easily get Lonely

Lonely is Pining for a Loved one

Alone is Hopeless with no Chance for company

Alone = not having anyone around at the time, by yourself.

Lonely = not having anyone around you can talk/relate to, no one you know.

You can have people surrounding you and still be lonely.

being alone is noone else is around.,

being lonley is noone is around but u desire company.
