What did you do with your dog(s) for Christmas?

Christmas is over for another year, so what did everyone do with their dogs? Presents? A trip out? Reindeer antlers, Christmas hats, photos with Santa?

Lui just got his usual present of treats (he has never really liked toys) and I think he had a good day. Christmas was here this year so he got to see everyone which he always loves because generally he gets a lot of attention.

On another note, I noted the leaderboard after I hadn't been on for a while... How on Earth does this sort of thing happen?

Update:

Hmm... intriguing. A fun question turned into a cause for trolls to come post.

I think giving a dog some extra treats on special days is quite alright, and most people are responsible owners and won't go to excess. They enjoy it, we enjoy it, and everyone is happy.

Thanks to everyone who actually answered.

My mom went a bit overboard with the dog's presents this year XD

He got a bully stick, a *huge* ham bone, a meaty bone, a extra large bag of pupperoni and some squeaky balls.

And then I got a new leash (retractable with attached poo bags, ohhhh yeahh) along with a warm scarf and gloves, which I asked for specifically for walking my dog because it gets so cold. Yup, hahah.

& then of course he got a few pieces of our christmas dinner (:

& he wore his new sweater over to my grandpa's house. He looked super cute in it.

& I have pictures of him next to our christmas tree, but I haven't uploaded them to my computer yet! If I do, I'll post them here (:

Hope you had a nice holiday (:

ADDED: About the leaderboard, yeah, that happened a while ago. I was shocked when I saw it, I didn't remember her being that close to #2 when I checked a few days before..

At least it means nothing. Cheating gets you no where.. (:

I'm sure my Dobermann thought something along the lines of "bah, humbug", when I used to put her in a festive outfit for the Dobermann Club Christmas party.....let's see, Becky went as a Christmas fairy & an angel {fah, a less angelic dog I have yet to meet!!"} Sadly the club moved, so my current Dobes are missing out ;) Yep, every year there is something under the tree for them, always the same things to avoid the "but the the other toy looks far more appealing scenario". They also have turkey, gravy & vegetables for their dinner, but I draw the line at cake or pudding!! It's only once a year after all & there is nothing wrong with a little seasonal fun!!

My dog got a lot of presents this year! I wasn't expecting him to get so many, but my whole family bought him them; not that he was complaining. I seriously bet he got more for Christmas than some children would have got this year.

He enjoys ripping the paper off and appears to have more fun with it than the toy inside. He got a reindeer soft toy, a LOT of squeaky toys (all from people who don't live with me, wonder why that is lol) some raw meaty bones, a new kong, frisbees, tennis balls plus lots more! My mam also credited my account at the vets office and made a donation to the local shelter in my name which was quite nice. I also got a new hat, scarf, leather gloves and wellies to walk him in and I bought him a shiney new dog tag for his collar.

My dog went over to my aunts with me for Christmas dinner and spent the whole time running around going nuts with my aunts dog. They only paused for their special Christmas dinner, a quick drink and 40 winks and then it was back to it again! He had an absolute blast and he slept in until 1.00pm on boxing day!

And I know it is of no importance to a dog but its his 2ns birthday on the 9th of Jan so I'm sure he will be spoilt once again!

I took my dogs out for a nice walk that night. It was so peaceful. I loved it, I also got my dogs treats like raw hide, dental bones, and some stuffed doggie toys. I just love having my dogs around the holiday. they do so much when the weather is so bad and you can't go anywhere but you can still take your dogs out for a nice walk. I think that is the best Christmas I had in a long time. but to bad after I got home I got really bored and feel to sleep and my dogs came to bed with me :D

I fully appreciate that dogs have no conception of what Christmas is & don't need presents, but it's not likely to cause behavioral issue if they enjoy ripping paper off a present once & year!!

My dogs each had a large bone that barely fitted through the doors & a plush toy. They did have some festive chicken & vegetables, which does not upset their digestive system.

The leader board is evidence that its the quality of the answers & the integrity of the person that matters, not TC badges or where someone is ranked.

    Legit:::

My boys all got presents and treats for Christmas, and they spent the time with me, my nephew and his girlfriend, at my home all day long......all the dogs had a blast...

I went to Montana for Thanksgiving, they all went with me, they loved the snow so much.

My dogs go on all my trips with me, I refuse to ever board them.

They also all 4 got them pics taken at Pets Mart with Santa, one as group of 4, then each one separate, I do this every year, yep,. my walls are lined with my dogs pics.....

And, the leader-board, well here is how it happened, the person in question only has about 20 accts and posts questions, they answer them from the one account, then gives them-self the BA,,,that is how.

We are all aware of it, has been reported, but nothing ever has been done about it.

No real presents, just each a split knuckle bone to keep them occupied while company was over. They were put in another room when it was dinner time. They were around when we were opening presents.

I bought them some goodies - yes I wrapped them up!! Also, I allowed them some turkey and ham after dinner. That is pretty much it - we didn't go anywhere so it felt like a regular day for them.
