Educate Me Please. What Is Wrong With Jehovah Witness?
I see Christians on here all the time saying that the Jehovah's Witnesses aren't "real Christians".
Im not all that familiar with the Jehovah's Witnesses.
Why aren't they considered to be "real Christians" by the rest of the Christians?
Thanks for your answers, and please dont be rude, I just want the information asked for, thanks.
Wow. Just wow. How can I POSSIBLY pick a best answer from all these absolutely great answers!
Thank you so much for all the information, both from JWs and non-JWs. I learned a LOT.

4 40 yrs Iv studied the whole Bible, some parts many times: Many confuse telling the truth (offends many) with hate. Sadly, JWs r mislead & so they rnt Christians - No1 can live w/o breaking God's eternal Law - he who tries 2 live/is under the law is dead in sin. I use this example: When u watch a movie u notice that when a camera focuses on a person or object other things become fuzzy or out of range. Thats what happened 2 JWs/others as they tried 2 read the Bible. If the cameraman isnt rightly trained/experienced, doesnt know the plot, has poor eyesight or does sloppy work the film will b poor quality missing many important shots & confusing the audience. JWs focus on wrong objects while having more trivial things seem more important than the important issues (straining out a gnat). Its how JWs got only a few things right while canceling truth with fatal false teachings. Instead of scrapping the bad movie they & others keep trying 2 patch it with various bandages while it remains a bad movie.
I hv studied JWs. Lacking the Spirit of God they dont know God & Jesus. Like other churches the JWs know something about cleaning the outside of the cup (like not honoring holidays) but lack understanding 4 how the Spirit of God thru Jesus cleans the inside of the cup.
The Bible severely warns us not 2 trust humans, not even ourselves, clergy/churches/scholars/scientists (Jer 10:2-5,23; Is 2:22; Job 12:11; Prov 14:12; Acts 17:11). So carefully think over what I say. Dont just believe or dismiss what I write. It might save u from making the mistake many made, getting caught up in religions having nothing 2 do with who God is (poisoned tree/its fruit).
JWs NWT bible/WT books r slanted 2 support JW's religion. Its worse than a mistranslation b/c some of it was deliberately tailored 2 fit the JW's false gospel. Most JWs see it as the truth b/c they hvnt realized w/o Jesus they cant see the truth (& false prophecies like the 1914/1975 1s cancel all JW's claimed truth - they dont hv a clue & they'll just keep saying thats not exactly what we meant like the serpent did with Eve [Satan was thrown out b4 creation of Adam, not about 1914] & Heaven is 4 all true Christians not just 144,000 & Hell is real - no 2nd chance after death).
JWs r really good @ gathering lots of info about God/Jesus/the Bible. Sadly, they & other religions/churches took an academic approach 2 understanding the Bible. The problem is that they didnt come 2 understand the diff btwn gaining carnal "head" knowledge & a real relationship with God & Jesus.
From there the JWs, like most Catholics, Mormons, many Protestants, Islam, moonies, Buddhists, Hinduism, Christian Scientists, Scientology & others, having begun in error, began adding on more & more error as they got farther away from God's actual truth. Neither a label, title, name, its history, the amount of time it existed or claims about them (or persecution) means anything. Its the practices behind them that makes it the whole truth or a lie (calling a dog god doesnt make it God - getting hung up on a name among several 4 God (in the Bible) keeps ppl from finding the real Jesus). U can name anything anything (i.e. Calling something Christian doesnt make it so - Mt 7:21-23). A dictionary definition doesnt necessarily encompass God's full definition or usage of a word (or His exceptions thereof). I.e. none of the Biblical prophets were ever muslims.
Sadly, many dont actually take seriously whats stated in the Bible. They think/act as if they r smarter than God. But God outsmarted man - the Bible is the only 1 that cant b properly understood without going thru Jesus Christ (Jn 14:6; 5:39; II Cor 3:14, Is 29:11-12 - If Jewish ppl cant pierce the veil over the OT without Jesus then 4 sure all gentiles cant (religious or not, like JWs). Its why theres many interpretations & many thinking its fairy tales (Jesus came with the sword of division).
Its why theres many religions making fatal mistakes as they built them on what man wants God 2 b like. I realized they cant all b right (Theres 1 Bible - why so many interpretations? II Pet 1:**19-21). Religion wont teach u much about God (they cant teach what they don't know). But it doesnt mean God doesnt know what He's doing. Who knows more about a house, the Builder or those moving in later?
Many missed this: Jesus Christ is the only 1 in history who stated that He's "the" way, "the" truth & "the" life & no 1 gets 2 God except by Him (Jn 14:6; 5:39; 10:1,7; Acts 4:12) & is the only 1 whom came from God. Its fully true or theres no truth & cant b any God (He knows what He's doing or He' cant b God).
Since Jesus is the only way 2 know God, it means "the" whole truth was complete & finished thru Jesus' teaching. This means any claimed new teaching & any other religious beliefs or from self-proclaimed prophets & teachers r invalid & cant lead u 2 our real God. God always knew all Jesus was 2 speak & do & the dumb things man would do, including teaching false gospels.
Jesus couldnt hv done nor said all He did unless He had full knowledge of the entire OT (the NT didnt exist in Jesus' time - the only way Jesus could've known the whole OT is if God sent Him) & the Apostles couldnt write the NT unless Jesus made them know & remember His purpose (Lk 24:25-27,45). Only God could cause it.
JW's (& many others) teachings r so out of sync with Jesus' actual teachings theres no way 2 patch the errors even with borrowed "truths". My advice is 2 get out while u can - the more u allow their teachings 2 program u the greater your chance of never finding our real Jesus Christ & u should warn others. Rewriting Bible verses & calling it a new world translation doesnt make it any more true - reducing Jesus 2 "a" son of God cancels out the rest of JW's teachings or from other religions doing the same. Jesus wasnt an angel, rose from the dead physically not just Spiritually & no earthly religious organization is infallible, only the truth that stands 4ever unchanged.
Ur approach, methodology, purpose & attitude (in)directly affect what u learn from God/Jesus/the Bible (why its useless 2 debate JWs with verses). Jws r so worried about keeping the 10 Commandments (which no human can live w/o breaking) that they cant understand Jesus' true Godly message so they cant find/know God - they're w/o Jesus = cant know God.
Whoever seeks Jesus with all his heart & soul will find God's Kingdom (u shall know the truth & it'll make u free). Why should God want u living with Him 4ever if u dont want 2 know Him His way (reason 4 free will - Jn 1:12-13)? God's truth remains 4ever unchanged while religions & gods created in mans image dies with him (no religions can save u).
On 1 hand, God hates us b/c of our sins - neither being a good person as judged by men or religion can save u. On the other hand, God loves us dearly enough 2 send His Son 2 die 4 our sins - so that thru Jesus our sins could b 4given if we sincerely turn 2 Him - Theres eternal hope only in Jesus Christ & His Bible.

Source(s): The Holy One of Israel, Jesus Christ, God's Holy Spirit, the Bible, careful research & observation & 40+ yrs of personal experience provided by the Most High - He who has the Son has the Father also but he who doesnt hv the Son doesnt know the Father either - it shall b sheer terror 2 understand the real message - God doesnt respect any man or his religions. It comes down 2 do u want 2 know who our real God is? Theres many ways that seem right 2 men but its end = death (theres only 1 path [not many] 2 God & thats thru Jesus). Biblical knowledge in & of itself wont save u. Borrowing true knowledge from others wont save u - if u hv a good meal poisoned with arsenic adding better quality food (patching it) wont cure the problem (free or not) but it may prolong ur inevitable death but it'll b death nevertheless - its still part of the poisoned tree. It useless 2 try 2 patch a tire thats full of holes (adding a little truth [usually stolen] 2 a lie only makes it a bigger lie). He who would b wise gets away from all religion & seeks the 1 who came from God. If the foundation was built upon sand so is the house no matter what u do 2 it. When the sand gives way both the foundation & all thats built upon it will collapse. The sea shall not discriminate & the storm with it shall b more ruthless than @ any other time in history. Nothing of human origin shall remain standing. He who understands this shall look 2 build his house upon the foundation that stands 4ever upon the Rock that shall never b moved. He who has ears let him hear what is, has been & always will b 4ever the same. Who knows more about a house, the Builder or those moving in later? ***If Jesus came from God as His only Son as stated in the Bible then the Quran (doesnt agree with the Bible), the Book of Mormon (no such thing as "another testament"), JWs (rewrote some Bible verses - New World Translation) & other religions r wrong about Jesus b/c they demote Jesus 2 just a prophet or good man (1 way or another). If Jesus Christ isnt God's only begotten Son (false prophet) then the Bible & all others r wrong. We cant hv it 2 ways. Theres only 1 Jesus & there can only b 1 true Gospel (II Cor 11:4; Gal 1:6,9; I Tm 6:3). If Jesus is whom He says He is then Muhammad (muslims r followers of Islam), Joseph Smith (Mormon = Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints), Jehovah's Witnesses (JWs = Watchtower, Awake), most Catholics, many Protestants, Ellen White (7th Day Adventists), Mary Baker (Christian Scientists), the moonies (Unification church - Rev Moon), Church of Scientology (Dyanetics - L Ron Hubbard), Buddhism, Hinduism & others presenting other teachings/practices r the false prophets & teachers & should b disregarded. But I can assure u the truth is in the real Bible (where Jesus was coming from in everything He did & said). Many (see above par.) claim they believe Jesus is the Son of God (however, even the devil knows who Jesus is) but having read the entire Bible I state with authority that many dont know God or Jesus. If ur foundation of teaching is wrong it cancels out all ur other claims (house built upon sand). Jesus wasnt speaking out of 2 let alone 1000s of sides of His mouth [EMPHASIS ADDED] (He's not the author of confusion - God's fixed order of all things Biblical) - only 1 whole truth can exist & its not with JWs/others listed above. Whatever is loosed on earth is loosed in Heaven still must adhere fully 2 the Bible truth, what Jesus taught & 1 must hv right belief in Jesus 4 it 2 mean anything (what the Cc & others dont understand - The same is true with respect 2 Jn 20:31 - whatever, wasnt written in the Bible (deliberately left out) would still hv 2 adhere 2 the same foundation/structure & message or its not Biblical (the reason the Apocrypha/lost books dont belong in the Bible - also Jesus is the only High Priest [God is the only 1 allowed 2 b called "Holy Father" so theres no valid priesthood/rituals after Jesus' resurrection] - when the OT covenant ended [many try 2 keep OT format - like the Cc] - NT is about God's Spirit & the physical relationship with the full Spiritual truth of righteousness [NT reinforces/explains OT & OT shows NT validity] not mechanical type religious rituals/practices & human traditions - a machine can easily b programmed 2 do rituals [repetitive motion] - God isnt in2 making human robots). Regarding Bibles I recommend the English Standard Version (ESV) as its an easy 2 read but more accurate version than what others will suggest. Its very important 2 understand the most accurate Bibles r those that r word 4 word or a combination of word 4 word + the right amount of literal translation (4 readability). Presently, theres 30+ versions of the Bible (generally popular 1s - many shouldnt b called Bibles). Only a few r translated close 2 whats in the original text. The ESV adheres 2 the word 4 word method while making it easy 2 read (literal method) - the best accurate Bible 4 the younger crowd - but its good 4 parents, children & others 2 b reading the same Bible 4 good communication (get 1 with verse references so u can easily look up related text). Many well-meaning ppl will suggest using the King James Version (KJV), claiming its the only "authorized" version (authorized by a human king not God). The trouble is that the KJV (& all Old English versions) is in older English (which was good in its day) thats not been spoken 4 over 130 yrs so its obsolete (u almost hv 2 learn a new language, why many stop reading it - helps promote Biblical ignorance). Other versions add in their own style/ideas or rewrite sentences obscuring the truth & the power of God such as the DR, AV, NAV, RE, NEV, [NASV], JB, NJB, GNB, NKJV, NRSV, CEV, NCV, HCSV, NLB, NIV, TNIV, NLT, Living - the Way, Message & Paraphrased (click on my ID & look 4 questions about Bibles & my other answers 4 more info). Many dont know that God is well aware many would [un]intentionally twist & pervert His Word so He invented a system in the Bible that will never change (Just like God & Jesus - more visible in word 4 word [with right usage of the literal method] versions). The crux of the problem 4 most humans is man (having limited knowledge) tries 2 understand who God is by imposing human limitations 4 understanding things 2 God's abilities. Only 1 God can occupy infinity & that God is the God of Israel. Its only fully provable b/c Jesus is the 1 & only true Son of God. In the OT God is directly acting in accordance with the eternal Law. No1 can live w/o breaking God's Law - the reason 4 all the animal sacrifices, etc. 4 atonement. Its why God directly killed & had the Israelites carry out His wrath against many. Under the NT through Jesus is the new & right approach 2 having the best chance of obeying the Law of God (eventually - humans r fallible - why Jesus died 4 our sins [the perfect & there4 the final sacrifice] so our sins could b 4given provided we dont give up following, learning & growing in Him). Yes, God knows what we r going 2 do b4 we do it but b/c experience is necessary 2 learn the right ways of God He must allow us a certain amount of free-will. U teach ur children things but they must hv hands-on experience or they cant fully learn whats taught - Thats what God & Jesus do with those who sincerely choose 2 become His children - Jn 1:12-13 He chooses them, giving them power 2 b His child (if they dont give up & *keep returning 2 the real Jesus Christ asking 4 4giveness). & Jesus died on a cross not a stake. Jesus also said, "Do not judge by appearances but judge with right judgment." - 1 decade ago
They ARE Christians, because they believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and they praise the Lord Jesus Christ. They're Christian, period.
Now, a lot of times, you'll hear many Christians arguing about which sect and denomination is the "truer version" of Christianity, and so, in that effort, some Christians start acting immature and start calling Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Catholics, etc, NOT Christians. Each Christian sect holds different traditions and beliefs as well, so it's natural that each group will feel as though their sect is the "true" and "correct" one, and thus call themselves the "real Christians."
That being said, for all purposes, Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians in that they believe that Jesus Christ died for their sins and that they claim to follow his teachings. Therefore, they're Christian. It doesn't matter what other beliefs they may have, the fact that they try to follow Christ, in some way, means that they fall within the Christian category.
Jehovah's Witnesses are known for having diverse beliefs. They are a very "Bible-based" church and yet they still have unique beliefs, mainly because the Bible can be interpreted in numerous ways. For instance, most Christians believe that Jesus IS God, however Jehovah's Witnesses do NOT believe that Jesus is God. They believe that Jesus and God are two separate people. Jehovah's Witnesses actually believe that Jesus is the archangel Michael. The way they see it, Satan and the Archangel Michael fought in the world before, now we are fighting with Satan, and so Jehovah's Witnesses believe that God sent the Archangel Michael, "Jesus" to fight for us once again.
That's just one example of how their belief differs. They also agree with Judaism, for instance, in that they believe that there is no such thing as hell. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that nonbelievers simply disappear into nonexistence once they die, and that only those who were saved will come back to receive the afterlife.
Anyway, that's just a little bit, and yes they are still Christian, despite their differences.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in the "same" Jesus as do other Christians.
For example, In Jehovah's Witness, Jesus was not crucified, hes was "staked" or impaled. [This denies the Old Testament prophecies]
The Jesus from Jehovah's Witness is NOT the Son of God. [This denies BOT Old and New Testament theology]
The Jesus from Jehovah's Witness is not God in the flesh. [This denies BOT Old and New Testament theology]
There are many more.
Most of this arises from poor teaching by their clergy. The Jehovah's Witnesses use ONLY one bible, the New World Translation. This bible has been specifically mistranslated to support the above ideas. Jehovah's Witnesses will NOT use any other translation of the bible (which is a VERY cult-like practice), and they are rather hesitant to let other churches use the NWT.
By denying many of the tenets of orthodox Christianity (orthodox means "all the same"),. the Jehovah's;s Witness place themselves outside of "standard" Christianity, and claim to be Christian ONLY because they also use the name "Jesus Christ" in their teaching s and worship. But the Jehovah's Witness honor and worship a Jesus that is DIFFERENT from that of Catholics, Baptists Methodists, etc, and are thus not consider truly Christian.

Jehovah's Witnesses are not considered to be "real Christians" because they do not believe in the deity of Christ.
They have created their own bible called the Watchtower Bible. In this bible, they have changed all of the scriptures in it that point to Christ as God, which is a no-no according to scripture. (Deuteronomy 12:32, Proverbs 30:5-6, Revelation 22:18-19)
Please visit CARM.org for more detailed descriptions of why not only Jehovah's Witnesses, but Mormons, Christian Scientists, the Emergent Church, etc. are all considered cults.

The only thing I find wrong with Jehovah's Witnesses, is I believe that only Jesus can save us, not by working real hard, and they do, my Mother was one. I never seen her much, she was always out in service or at the Kingdom Hall, but I did learn a lot from them. I just can't be that perfect.
Though, I do believe they are truly Christians, and their works are good.

You have come to the right place.
Jehovah's Witnesses are mostly all nice people but unfortunately they have been fooled into believing in the saving power of an organization instead of God Himself. They believe that you have to work your way to heaven by going door to door, attending Kingdom Hall meetings, and have strict adherence to the Watchtower and Awake magazines.
The way they "get you" is first to "love bomb" you and tell you that you are among friends now and you can tell all your troubles and they will promise to be your new family forever. Then, they will tell you that only the Watchtower is God's true earthly organization and if any non-JW's tell you otherwise, it's because the non-JW's are "of the devil". Only "children of the devil" would try to lead you away from "God's true organization".
This then becomes a self fulfilling prophesy when you announce to your friends and family that you want to become a Jehovah's Witness and they tell you it's a cult. You will then think back to when your new JW friends "prophesied" that your friends and family would say these things to you and suddenly you come to the realization that they must be right! Do you see the trick? It's brainwashing.
By definition, the Watchtower is not a Christian organization because it doesn't hold to the doctrines of orthodox Christianity. They twist Scripture to suit their own doctrines. They have had to twist Scripture so much that the real Bible was interfering with their teachings, so they wrote their own.
The history of the Watchtower is one filled with scandal and lies and cover ups for generations. They have falsely set dates and predicted the "End" many times which makes them a false prophet according to the Biblical definition; they have changed their version of "the truth" so many times by changing doctrines within the organization, and have needlessly allowed people to die when their lives could have been spared with a blood transfusion or organ transplant or vaccination.
Just for the record, I do not hate Jehovah's Witnesses. They are nice people and can make great neighbours, co-workers, and friends. It's the organization that is dubious. It trains their subjects well. They appear to have all the answers. But in the end, no matter how much works a Jehovah's Witness does in his or her lifetime, they can NEVER be absolutely sure they have done enough.
This is the opposite of Biblical Christianity which says that God gives us eternal life as a free gift. JW's will tell you it is NOT FREE, but must be worked for (and worked for and worked for and worked for...), and even then a person still has no assurance. In essence they have to be perfect all the time right up until their dying breath and if they sin in their last moment they have blown their entire life's work.
Studies have been done that show that people with mental problems often end up in cults. And these mental issues are usually stemming from previous family issues. A huge percentage of JW's are people who have a history of dispair, suicide attempts, bad relationships, breakdowns, etc.
This religion will involve lots and lots of book work, reading, meetings with others, etc.
My advice: do more research and don't let them trick you into believe that only THEY have the correct answers for you.

There is nothing wrong with Jehovah's Witnesses but go over at Jehovah's Witnesses' place and ask them all about it and they will be very happy to explain it to you.

I too, want to thank Gossamer for her unbiased opinion. She really views us in a fair manner.
Jehovah's Witnesses study the Bible intensely and live according to all that God and His Son, our King and redeemer, Christ Jesus commands. We fully accept that only by the ransom sacrifice of Jesus can anyone gain salvation.
What others who claim to be Christian object to is that we really do obey what the Bible really teaches while most of them have added in pagan doctrines. We point out that these pagan doctrines are detestable to God and we refuse to participate in anything that is not Scriptural.
Wouldn't a real Christian WANT to obey God's word in a clean way free from false teachings?
Well that's what we Jehovah's Witnesses do. Jesus said that those who follow him fully would be hated by those who do not. As you have seen many DO hate us for exactly that reason.
For the real truth about us the only official site is http://watchtower.org/

I was recently Baptized as one of Jehovahs Servants April 5, 2009..I am 61 years of age, To answer your question.......True Christians imitate Jesus’ example as the Great Teacher and Faithful Witness of Jehovah. (Joh 18:37; Re 1:5; 3:14) “Go . . . make disciples of people of all the nations” is their Leader’s command. (Mt 28:19, 20) In carrying it out, Christians ‘witness publicly and from house to house,’ urging people everywhere to flee out of Babylon the Great and put their hope and confidence in God’s Kingdom. (Ac 5:42; 20:20, 21; Re 18:2-4) This is really good news, but proclaiming such a message brings upon Christians great persecution and suffering, even as was experienced by Jesus Christ. His followers are not above him; it is enough if they are like him. (Mt 10:24, 25; 16:21; 24:9; Joh 15:20; 2Ti 3:12; 1Pe 2:21) If one “suffers as a Christian, let him not feel shame, but let him keep on glorifying God in this name,” counseled Peter. (1Pe 4:16) Christians render to “Caesar” what belongs to the superior authorities of this world—honor, respect, tax—but at the same time they remain separate from this world’s affairs (Mt 22:21; Joh 17:16; Ro 13:1-7), and for this the world hates them.—Joh 15:19; 18:36; 1Pe 4:3, 4; Jas 4:4; 1Jo 2:15-17.
To Quote Jesus my King: Look! I am standing at the door and knocking. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into his [house] and take the evening meal with him and he with me. (Revelation 3:20)

Jehovah's Witness are Really "Watchtowerites."
Jehovah's Witnesses faithfully go door-to-door preaching the "Kingdom of God" that is taught them via the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. They are usually quite polite and sincere in their efforts of communicating "Jehovah's Good News." As always, they carry with them several books and magazines, some of which are the New World Translation (their Bible, which has been altered in many places), the Awake Magazine, and, of course, the ubiquitous Watchtower Magazine.
The Jehovah's Witnesses receive their direction from The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society headquartered in Brooklyn, New York. This organization claims to be the channel of communication from God to his people, that it represents Jesus on earth, and that you cannot find Scriptural guidance outside of it as an organization. Consider the following quotes:
* "It should be expected that the Lord would have a means of communication to his people on the earth, and he has clearly shown that the magazine called The Watchtower is used for that purpose."1
* Make haste to identify the visible theocratic organization of God that represents his king, Jesus Christ. It is essential for life. Doing so, be complete in accepting its every aspect."2
* "We all need help to understand the Bible, and we cannot find the Scriptural guidance we need outside the 'faithful and discreet slave' organization."3
Obviously, the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society assumes a great deal, including being God's "visible theocratic organization" and the 'faithful and discreet slave" teaching true Christian doctrine. The only problem is that the Watchtower brand of doctrine is not biblical doctrine. It is heavily filtered doctrine through Watchtower interpretations combined with selective questions and scripture quotes.
Of course, the Jehovah's Witnesses will strongly disagree with this statement. They say that they read and study their Bibles and only use the Watchtower literature as a guide to understanding God's word. But it is this very admission which condemns them because their doctrines are not found in the Bible. The proof is found, believe it or not, in the Watchtower's own writings. Consider this quote from The Watchtower magazine, August 15, 1981 that says:
"From time to time, there have arisen from among the ranks of Jehovah's people those, who, like the original Satan, have adopted an independent, faultfinding attitude...They say that it is sufficient to read the Bible exclusively, either alone or in small groups at home. But, strangely, through such 'Bible reading,' they have reverted right back to the apostate doctrines that commentaries by Christendom's clergy were teaching 100 years ago..."4
Did you get that? If you read the Bible by itself, you will become a Trinitarian because that is exactly what the Watchtower is referring to here when it says "apostate doctrines." In other words, if you read the Bible alone, you will not arrive at Watchtower doctrines. This is an amazing admission by the Watchtower organization. It is clear, Jehovah's Witnesses do not get their teachings from the Bible, but from the Watchtower literature.
Jehovah's Witnesses are Really Watchtowerites
The average Kingdom Hall (Jehovah's Witness church) has "Book" studies several times a week. It is in these meetings that the Jehovah's Witness gets new Watchtower publications, studies with the help of the Watchtower aids, and discusses doctrines in 'Bible studies." This is how they are indoctrinated. Whether or not a Jehovah's Witness likes or dislikes what is being taught is not the issue. Rather, the Jehovah's Witness is supposed to accept and believe what is taught via the Watchtower Literature and is discouraged from independent thinking. Another quote:
"We should eat and digest and assimilate what is set before us, without shying away from parts of the food because it may not suit the fancy of our mental taste...We should meekly go along with the Lord's theocratic organization and wait for further clarification.'"5
This quote clearly shows that the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society is the Jehovah's Witness' teacher and those who follow its teachings are Watchtowerites. That is, they are students of the Watchtower which is why, basically, all Jehovah's Witnesses all believe the very same thing. Of course, they will say that this is unity and not confusion as is found in Christendom's denominations. But precise unity in beliefs among a people is a sign not of freedom, but of control.
Within Christianity's denominations are the core beliefs that unite Christians all over the world. We are allowed differences of opinions on non-essential doctrines (Rom. 14:1-7). Not so with the Jehovah's Witnesses. They are all taught the same doctrine from the same publications. They each give identical Watchtower responses to questions and challenges, and all present the identical claims of "The Kingdom of God," "the Errors of the Trinity," the "Coming Armageddon," etc. Essentially, if you've spoken to one Jehovah's Witness, you've spoken to them all.
If you want to learn what the average Jehovah's Witnesses believes, you don't read the Bible, you read the Watchtower Magazine. This is because the Watchtower is the source of their theological beliefs, not the Bible. If you want to quickly learn what the Watchtower teaches, spend an hour with any Jehovah's Witness. The Jehovah's Witness is, quite plainly, a Watchtowerite.

The jw founding father was the start of what is wrong with Jehovah's Witnesses.
A fairly wealthy bible student in the late 19th century who was intrigued with Charles Miller's end times predictions. He formed his own study group and went on to establish his own publishing company. The Watchtower Society
He was the editor and chief prophet for the then know Bible Students that later became Jehovah's Witnesses.
"Russell continued to develop his interpretations of biblical chronology. By 1878 he was teaching that the "end times" had begun in 1799[23], and that Christ had returned invisibly in 1874[24] and had been crowned in heaven as king in 1878. He believed that 1878 also marked the date of the resurrection of the sleeping saints, and the "fall of Babylon", when God officially judged that Christendom had proven unfaithful.[25][26] October 1914 was held as the end of a harvest period that would culminate in the beginning of Armageddon, manifested by worldwide anarchy and the decline and destruction of civilized society.[27] In early 1881, he predicted that the churches ('Babylon') would begin to fall apart and that the rapture of the saints would take place that year, although they would remain on earth as materialized spirit beings.[10] In 1882, he declared the Trinity doctrine to be false.[10]"
What started as an adventist movement then morphed into a separatist religion under Joseph Rutherford, who was in fact a spiritual tyrant. His word was law for all Jehovah's Witnesses. There were no more bible discussions. There was what the 'judge proclaimed' he was one of the most prolific of all jw leaders. Wrote more books, established a radio station, cut 78 records, printed millions of publications, All to expose his hatred for Christendom.
So confident was this tyrannical leader, he used the jw church funds to purchase a mansion in San Diego where he lived when he was on the west coast. Declaring that he should do so, because god was going to raise ancient bible characters from the dead and they needed a place to stay. He even hinted on a possible date of their arrival at his mansion. Pretty convenient would you say.
It is still to this day the basis for the fervor of hatred JWs have for other religions. He ordered the end of celebrating Christmas, Veneration of the Cross, a myriad of doctrine that flew in the face of established christian view. His selection of a name for his religion was his biggest slap in the face of mainline religions. The name had always been venerated and used sparingly. So he flaunted the name and in a way trademarked it so no one else can use it without treading on sacred jw ground. In effect they sort of hijacked God's own name.
Heaven for only 144,000, paradise earth, no immortal soul, no hell, coupled with predictions upon predictions of end times, kingdoms in heaven, prophecies fulfilled, then unfulfilled, then fulfilled again;
All of this not enough. If you join them, you can never leave the religion in tact. They shun anyone who leaves or violates any of their myriad of talmudic do's and dont's.
Enough?
