Do I need to prime????????
I am moving into my sisters room. And I am painting the walls red and black. Her walls are pink. Do I need to prime both? Or just the red? Vice Versa?

No, you don't need to prime - but the darker the color the more coats you will need to get good coverage. Painting always requires a minimum of 2 coats - so you may need more coats (like 3 or 4) for red and black - especially black.
Another option is to tint a primer with the color you're painting when doing a darker color to avoid more coats, although I've never tried that so I don't know how well it works. You may be able to get away with 2 coats if you tint a primer first.

If the walls are already painted you shouldn't need to prime them. You will need at least two coats to get good solid coverage when painting a dark color (black) over a light color.
It also depends on the paint. There are dark paints with more solids in them and if that is what you use you may get away with less work.
good luck.

Dark over lighter, no. Just paint, let dry, and give a second coat.
Light over dark, yes prime. Your colors would look like a nasty mix of brown; not the color you would be looking for.
It depends on the shade of the pink too. If it's a real light pink you should be good. If it's more on the hot pink level, i would prime that.
