Any other sport bike riders hate cruisers?
A few friends have cruisers and have asked if I want to ride with them before. I did but I cant take going so damn slow all the time. I seriously could stay in first with them on any back roads. It is so uncomfortable going under 80 atleast on sportbikes because you have to hold your weight on your arms the whole time. But once you get going it feels perfect. I feel bad never riding with them but they need bikes that they lean on damn it. Its no fun through twisties at all. The first time I rode with them they were all just going so slow I took off in the right hand lane no cars very long stretch and opened it up. I had to wait at the end of the road for about 3 minutes for them. I never have that issue riding with buddies on sport bikes ever. It is so much more too. Everyone pulling wheelies and riding them out. Everyone busting out crazy moves with gf on back and just having so much fun. Racing down a road and feeling the acceleration try to pull you off as you hit 13000 rpms with your buddy beside you. I dont see the appeal to riding slow and never having any fun with it. I have been riding for close to 3 years now. Always on a sport bike though.I rode my friends Harley and wasn't impressed at all.Anyone else have trouble riding with other kinds of bikes?
Im on a gsxr 600
Actually I have a full face helmet, Joe Rockect race replica jacket, Joe Rocket top of line gloves, Alpinestars race boots and Kelvar pants. I would say I will be ok if I go down lmao No helmet Harley riders will be sorry lmfao Cruiser guys are never prepared to wreck. Sportbike riders are always ready just in case. So I have more then a full face helmet to save my *** haha Stupid Harley riders lmfao Keep it under 30mph!!! Stay cool losers!!
BTW My girlfriend can wheelie my bike with me on it lmao She is gifted lmfao

I don't hate them but I would never own one...any scooter that won't do a power wheelie at 100 mph and a stoppie is not on my radar.
p.s. if yopu want to ride soemthing that really sucks ride a harley...I rode my sis in laws 1200 sportster and after about 2 mins on it I said what the hell were the engineers thinking? They must have had to really tried to make it that ineffiecient at going, handling, and stopping...it was a nightmare...lol...but I still got it to smoke teh rear tire in a drop teh hammer burnout (My sis in law was how did you do that? My answer, riding/racing scooters from age 6 to 23 kinda helps...lol)

Ah yes, another sport bike rider so gifted that everyone else on the road holds him up. Funny how you never see these guys at the track. Cruisers are for cruising, is that really so hard to understand? You sound just like every other dude out there that owns a sport bike because you think it makes you look cool, not because you are a true motorcycle enthusiast. If you were a true enthusiast you would appreciate all types of motorcycles for what they are and realize they are all made for different types of riding and all have their pros and cons. Try touring across the country on your gixxer and see how superior it is then...oh, that's not what you bought it for?? Well guess what, guys don't buy Harley's to drag their knees through the twisties either.

Grow up, take your bike to the track. At 3 years, you're still a rookie, you just don't know it. You're being a squid. If you haven't been to the track, you owe it to yourself to give it a try. It's so much better than being an *** on the street, and you'll find out whether you really know how to ride expertly or not ( at 3 years, not likely). There's a huge difference in the level of riding you can achieve when you don't need to worry about cars, speed limits, traffic lights, curbs and guardrails. Think you're fast on the street? You're just fooling yourself, and maybe some of your buddies. Chances are, you'll never even know what hit you.
Meanwhile, the lawmakers are thinking about how to get rid of you. Unfortunately, the heat will land on responsible riders, too.

i ride mainly supersports bikes and medium size bikes for yamaha.
sometimes i also ride there cruisers as im short in the leg so i have to do a lot of adopting to allow for brake differences, gear changes and the way the bike handles.
i dont mind them or the people who ride these bikes as not everyone wants to blast around like a nutter on a razor blade. some want to enjoy things as they ride and also take the girlfriend out on the back which you cannot do with a r1/gsxr or fireblade.
and after all my years of testing high specs bikes and 200 mph+ end machines i ended up buying a harley davidson nightster.
i just enjoyed it and the way it looked.never had a problem with it and if im honest the nightster pulls the women better than all the superbikes ive had.
just looks good parked up.
you ride what your comfortable with and im lucky that i can change my riding style for almost anything including the automatic t-max scooter.
and all the friends ive rode with in the local chapter do not have a problem with the sports bikes i have.
each to there own.

sounds like you're being pretty reckless on the street.
the problem isn't with the cruisers, it's with you. Cruisers are designed for street use. Sportbikes are designed for racing. Take yours to a race track, and you won't have any issues with being out of place.
I'm all for having a little fun on the street, but "pulling wheelies" and "busting out crazy moves" seriously damages the reputation of sportbike riders everywhere. Yes - your bike will handle and accelerate better than a cruiser. That's what it's made to do. Cruisers focus more on style and comfort. They're not made to do the same things, so it's not surprising that you enjoy different types of riding. that said, I've never had a problem slowing down to ride with my dad on his cruiser.

What's your hurry? Slow down and smell the roses when your riding with your friends. Riding bikes isn't all about how fast you can get from A to B. Haul butt when you're alone or riding with sportbike buddies. The cruiser guys don't care about going 80 around the twisties, it's not their style.

Gee that is impressive - can I sign your plaster casts when you come off? Most of the cruiser riders have either outgrown the SQUID syndrome or are just focused on enjoying the ride.It is reckless fools that usually end up in wheelchairs as bitter has beens.I mean no offence to anyone that is in this predicament .I have had the high performance sports bikes as well as the pins and scars the come from pushing too hard.

"It is so uncomfortable going under 80"
Funny, that's above the legal limit. Surprised you get anyone to ride with you at all.
I never have a problem with sportbikes, or keeping up with them.
On my roads, 80 miles an hour gets you your choice of stone walls or trees.
There's markers for those that choose wrong, if you care to see.
Joe Rocket gear is the bottom of the barrel, even this tightass won't buy that crap.
What helmet you wear means nothing to me, it aint protecting much.

I kind of know what you mean because I have a friend with a 250 and he can't really keep up most of the time if I go over 4th gear. Of course, I only have a 650 so I'm not a lean mean riding machine, and I've only had it for abou 6-9months, but yeah.
I don't really think about it though. There are times to ride fast, and times to just let go and hang back with your friends. I stick with my friends when I'm with my friends, regardless of how slow they go or what I feel like. And I go as fast or slow as I feel like when I'm by myself.

If you are so much better than them, then just decline any future offers.
Everyone has their own riding preference. I used to have a sport bike, but then I moved to a cruiser for comfort.
Take your bike to the track.

The only good thing about a cruiser is your life expectancy. BTW Don't think your fool face, oops, I mean full face helmet is gonna save your butt when act 2 of show time goes wrong.
