Give me your top 10 fav (or 5 if you don't have time) rnb tracks of this decade?

Here's mine (not in order)

4 Ever - Lil Mo ft. Fabolous

Star - 702 ft. Clipse

Stay With Me - Ne-Yo

Separated - Avant

Don't Talk - Jon B

U Already Know - 112

Let Me Love You - Mario

Not Your Friend - Case

I Wish - Carl Thomas

Hit The Freeway - Toni Braxton

Update:

love afterparty daniel. good job on the links too.

Update 2:

here's a few more of my favourites

Talkin To Me - Amerie

Differences - Ginuwine

Get To Know Ya - Maxwell

Faded Pictures - Case & Joe

Addictive - Truth Hurts ft. Rakim

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTjPmgN98H8

Update 3:

oops faded pictures was 1998. how bout this one instead

The One You Need - Megan Rochell

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fu0cuiFPaUk

Update 4:

@Darqwon. I agree it was a down decade for r&b but that was mostly the 2nd half and the southern crunk crossover invasion from hip hop.. The first half (2000-2004) was at least as good as the late 90's.

2009 seems to be a bit of a resurrection, lets hope that continues into the next decade!

Update 5:

Since alot of you put neo-soul tracks I'll put a few of mine. Sometimes I distinguish the two genres even though its all rnb/soul

Heaven - John Legend

Epiphany - Chrisette Michelle

Woman - Raheem DeVaughn

I've Got To Move - Calvin Richardson

Girl Next Door - Musiq Soulchild

  • Interesting question.

A tough question given the number of songs I've liked over the past 10 years.

Strangely enough, going through them has given me a greater appreciation for what I thought was a down decade for R&B.

    1) Emotional - Carl Thomas

    2) Didn't Cha Know - Erykah Badu

    3) You and Me - Musiq

    4) Love Of My Life - Brian McKnight

    5) A Long Walk - Jill Scott

    6) Alone - Joe

    7) Heaven Can Wait - Michael Jackson

    8) I Wish - R. Kelly

    9) Where You Are (Is Where I Wanna Be Pt.2) - Donell Jones

    10) Say Yes - Floetry

    1) Take a Message - Remy Shand

    2) Someone To Love You - Ruff Endz

    3) Hold On - Dwele

    4) Love Calls - Kem

    5) Ordinary People - John Legend

    6) Not Like Crazy - Jill Scott

    7) The One For Me - Rahsaan Patterson

    8) You - Raheem Devaughn

    9) In The Morning - Ledisi

    10) Here I Stand - Usher

I narrowed it as much as I could and still had enough for two lists. There are still a few others I could have added.
