Will a toshiba vista disc work with Mac?

I have a Toshiba windows vista upgrade disc that i got with my old PC and I did not use it yet. I have a MacBook Pro now and I want to install windows on it will that disc work?

    No. That disk is for upgrading an existing installation of Windows to Windows Vista, and it's specific to the Toshiba laptop. If you think you need to run Windows on a Mac, you must purchase a licensed copy for that purpose.

    If you have a full install disc, then you can install windows on a MAC, just not backwards. What these people do is hardcode the operatining system to the physical address of the hardware. Windows does not do that. So you can dual boot, or i do believe you can get something like virtual pc and install a virtual copy of windows.

    I personally have not done this, but i know people who have.
