How do you burn .avi and .srt files onto a dvd?

I downloaded .avi files that have .srt subtitles and I was wondering if there is a free program that lets me burn both of the files onto a dvd. Most of the free trials that I've tried included a watermark, but is there a free program without the watermark?

I'm guessing you want to author the DVD so it will play on a player you've hooked up to your computer.

I haven't yet tried to author a DVD with subtitles, but I've had good luck authoring regular DVD's using a program called DVD flick. I'm pretty sure that it supports subtitles. It's free and pretty sure there's no watermark.

If you just want to watch the movie on a computer, you don't need to author the DVD (and you're better off not authoring, because the process is simpler and you can store more media on the DVD - an authored DVD will hold one feature-length movie; a data DVD loaded with avi files can hold about half-a-dozen movies). You just need to make sure that both the avi file and the .srt file have the same filename. You can test them out on your HD by playing the file on wmp and seeing if the subtitles show up. You may need to check through the wmp settings before that happens.

you need to use a software called ConvertXtoDVD. it is an marvelous software and not too costly and it does a great activity. Load on your avi document and as long with the aid of fact the srt document is exactly an analogous call it is going to load it immediately. you additionally can browse for the srt document. yet another tip is to be sure you turn any screensaver off . make confident that the precedence settings are set to accepted or your gadget will flow slowly to a give up on an analogous time as its working, Paul
