When is my daughter a toddler?

I'm realizing the newborn and baby section doesn't really apply to us anymore. My daughter just turned one and is walking. So does that mean she is technically a toddler? Or is there a specific age?

    I always went by this:

    Newborn 0 - 3 months

Infant 3 - 12 months (or when they start walking)

Toddler 12 months (or when they start walking) - 4 years

    Preschooler 4 - 5 years

Then so on and so on.

I'm in the same boat as you. My daughter is 13 months, although she is not fully walking by herself yet. I notice on here she fits more in the toddler section. But in real life, she's still my baby.

Yes once they start to walk they are basically a toddler.

From the time she begins to walk until she is not unsteady or awkward . Can be up to 4 years depending on balance.

Mmmmm, you could say that if she toddles :). But I say a baby becomes a toddler when they're two or three. It depends on how fast they grow or how mature they are. Hope i helped!

ANSWER: they are not toddlers when they start walking . WHY? Some babies walk at 8 months some at 2 yrs. A toddler is usally when a baby turns 2 yrs old and is pronuncing and using ansumptions
