How can you tell if your baby has hiccups?

does it feel like your belly is twitching? idk

I'm 30 weeks pregnant by the way.

Update:

Man, my baby must get hiccups alot then. My belly jumps/twitches alot. In rhythm and around the same time each day.

That is super cool!

It feels like your tummy is jumping to a beat! It's funny.

  • Sounds like you are far enough along that you can feel movement very frequently. So with that then you would be able to tell because it wouldn't be normal movement like a kick here or there might feel. You will feel your belly stretch out about every 5 or so seconds. It gets kinda annoying after a while. But hey it goes with the territory. I am 36 wks and 4 days and my son gets the hiccups a minimum of once a day. Sometimes it's two or three times a day. I've been meaning to try and figure out what I have been eating each time it happens but usually am either working or not even really paying attention so I forget to monitor it.

They feel exactly like you think a tiny baby's hHiccups would be. baby hiccups are quite fast, not slow like adult ones, and they are rythmical.

it feels like twitches at a regular interval (seconds). It is different from baby movements and push.

    Yes, it's a constant; regular-on a rhythm twitch.

My daughter had it all the time, it's became a little annoying. But she's the tallest of all my kids so it was good for her =)
