harry potter- unanswered question?
in the 1st chapter of the deathly hallows, snape tells voldemort info about harry being moved from his uncle's house (page 4) and snape says the info comes from the source they previously discussed. What is this source? I dont think it was mentioned in the book...

If you've read the whole book, you will realize that "the source they previously discussed" would be a member of the order of the phoenix (Mundungus Fletcher). In The Prince's Tale, we see Dumbledore's portrait telling snape that he will have to tell lord voldermort the correct date of harry's departure from the dursleys since the dark lord believed snape to be very well informed. In addition, we also find out in this chapter that Snape confunded Mundungus Fletcher and gave him the idea of the 7 harrys that would depart from privet drive on a particular date. So, Chapter one makes reference to information that isnt revealed until The Prince's Tale.

the source is that snape was in the order of the phoenix so he found out stuff from them
