Should we extinguish the sun to stop global warming?

There is no such thing as global warming it's just a conspiracy that makes big people more money than they need. It's not true and in case anyone hasn't noticed it is quite cold this year.

This QUESTION is going to get you some grief but the truth is that the bureaucracy of government often causes problems. Blocking out the sun would lower temperatures but the long term effects of CO2 is the main reason to be up in arms. You could make a case for horses causing gas and you would have made a good point. Not to mention the waste on the freeways. Sometime in the rush to point out something that makes no sense we forget to look at the big picture.

There is a difference between weather and climate, let's just deal with this now. Weather: the behavior of sun, snow, rain, wind etc. Climate: general patterns of the same forces that make up weather. The presence of snow is not evidence against global warming any more than a really hot day being evidence proving it. If I were to tell you that it was incredibly hot today, so Al Gore must be right you would all start pointing out the same thing.

Yeah, now that we know for a fact that it's the Sun that warms the Earth, and we know that the Sun is getting hotter and closer as it orbits around the Earth. Maybe if we can squirt enough water on the Sun, it will cool off. It couldn't be too hard to do. I can easily see that the Sun is only , at the most, just a few feet across. It's so tiny in the sky. Anybody with common sense can see that. What the phony scientists don't know, is that as the Sun gets closer, it leads to an increase in cosmic gamma rays being reflected off the full moon.

the sun isn't the main cause. man is. we've polluted the earth to such an extent that now the sun seems lethal, but in reality, without the sun, we'd die.

we need the sun for warmth, light, vitamin D, and now solar power too.

and if we all switch to solar power, we'd have more energy than we need. currently, the sun gives us around 120,000,000 GW of solar power a year, while current worldwide energy consumption is around 13,000 GW (around 10,000 times smaller). figures from US dept of energy.

That's so ridiculous! We need the sun, without it, we'd freeze to death, plants would die, etc, etc. What we need to do is really focus on stopping the global warming. There needs to be more control of making things that contribute to it - cars, machines, etc. More things need to made out of recyclable materials, etc. The list could go on & on. But it has to start at the top - in the white house, to get things regulated. But then again, that could also lead to more control, but if it's done right & fair, & the laws apply to everyone, it could work.

Um the sun isn't causing global warming. We need the sun the live without it we would die. It's just our planet is getting more sun than needed because of the hole in the ozone layer.

we could get a squadron if planes equipped with fire extinguishers, fly to the sun and viola! no more sun and no more global warming! you should get a nobel peace prize for this idea!

we better find a substitute for the sun first and then we can kill the sun because without the sun light and sun heat is no life
