I have tablecloths that are hand stitched and have yellow stains.?

Someone told me that vinegar would get out the yellow stains. What do you think?

    I just soak my stained items overnight in the washing machine with dishWASHER detergent. In the AM I add laundry detergent to the machine and complete the cycle.
