How can my hair get less tangly?

My hair gets tangled very easily.

It is layered and very wavy.

It has a few locks.

It also gets oily every 3 days.

I want it to become less wavy and less tangly.

How can I fix this problem?

Instant 10 points there is.

(Hair stylists, this is your chance to shine).

Update:

Any natural products (Ayurvedic) is alright - if they are easy for me to get and apply.

Step 1.Start by smoothing conditioner all over hair.

Step 2.Try to separate the strands of hair by using your fingers. Start at the ends of the hair and work up toward the roots of the tangled hair. Keep going until you get most of the large tangles out of the hair. Hold the hair near the scalp with one hand and use the other hand to untangle the hair. That way, when you brush, there will be less pulling and less pain.

Step 3.Take a wide-tooth comb and work it gently through the hair from the bottom upward. Rub conditioner over the teeth of the comb to help it glide through the hair easily.

Step 4.Finally, comb through the hair with a fine-tooth comb until all tangles are removed.

Step 5.Rinse out conditioner once the hair is tangle free. Then shampoo and condition hair again. Your hair should be free of tangles.

Oh and you could also use straightening shampoo and conditioner

    Good luck(:

What came to mind right away is this. Do not wash it the day of the event. After years of experience, as well as hearing tips by celebrities, it has been shown that hair is much more manageable if you don't wash it for a day. So if you want to fix up your hair in a particular style the day of an event, wash it the night before. Let the natural oils in your scalp help you so that when you go to straighten/curl sections, they will stay that way much longer than if you had washed it that same day.

I've done this as well. If I shower the night before and let my hair dry naturally, I can fix it the next day and if I flat iron it, the texture is smoother and won't frizz out during the day. Also, if you decide you want to curl it, the curl will hold much longer than if you had washed your hair right before.
