What do you think of the brand asus for laptops?
i wanted to get a laptop and I found one that I liked for a good price and it looks good to me. This is the link: http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?CatI... I don't know much about laptops but i know that toshiba and apple are very good and that something like Dell would be about middle and that most people think acer is lower end. Would you recommend this brand and do you think this is a good deal?
I would never buy an Acer. I have an Acer computer and I don't like it and anyone I talk to hates Acers.

Asus is OK. I looked at this laptop at Best Buy, it was pretty good except that it has an extremely flimsy screen. It depends on how you'll be using it. Asus can go onto the mid-expensive end, not super-expensive, but it depends on your budget and needs. Personally, with the choice of this laptop and a Dell laptop, I would choose Dell because it is sturdier, but that's the only reason.

I have had several laptops and they really go by the old motto: you get what you pay for...so be wise and think would I rather buy several cheap laptops or one good one...it all depends
