Sony Ericsson - Txt messages no longer display as a new event on home screen?

Hiya,

Usually when you get a txt message on a Sony Ericsson this displays as an even on the main screen to show you the person sending the txt and a section of the message. However this seems to have turned itself off on my phone and now I just get the little envelope symbol.

Does anyone know how to turn this feature back on? I'm pretty sure that its called an event and lots of things are displayed like this not just txt messages.

    Try to reset the phone just back to default settings. That'll reset the factory settings which will get the feature back.

    Take the battery out and then the little message means you have one unread message in your inbox. simple. Hope it works!!

    Try switching your phone off and on again - mine has had this problem before.
