Do Diamonds Explode if you Heat it enough?

    Diamond is the crystalline form of carbon. Chemically it is the same as graphite, the amorphous form of the carbon. When its heated to a high temperature it will not explode but simply burn into carbon dioxide.

    No diamonds do not explode on heating but in air they will be oxidized to CO2 but at a very high temperature.
