Help With Freestyle Skiing?

Lately, I've become much more interested in freestyle skiing than ever before; specifically in the terrain park (tables, step-downs and step-ups, gaps, hips, spines, rails, etc). Many of the tricks require a ridiculous amount of aerial skill and technique. Where/What is the best place/way to learn what I need to in order to perform these tricks? Should I buy a trampoline...go to a gym with a foam pit? Any freestyle skiers...how did you learn?

btw some people recommended camps like Windell's. Any1 done that?

Tramps, water jumps, foam pits, deep powder, and just throwing it are basically the ways to learn new tricks, ask other for advice and trick tips. Start small and work your way up.

If you can, try going to Woodward in Copper Colorado. It is a new facility that specifically helps in jumping and other aerial skills. They make it much easier to learn how to jump and land safely through the use of trampolines, foam pits, and simulated snow jumps.

I learned the dumb way, just going out without knowing how to do anything, not getting any lessons falling, getting hurt, but eventually learning and improving. Its a good idea to get lessons so you can learn the basics of the park and some stuff you can do to avoid bad falls and bad injuries, then you just gotta practice and work at it

hahah, im in the same position as you and iv'e been doing what eastcoastrider said, im a solid skiier but have just started skiing parkk, i thought about getting lessons but i can't afford it. ive just been practicing going to the mountain whenever i can spending hours at the park. falling getting back up and doing it again. may be the long way but you get more satisfaction when you finally land something on your own

My suggestion : bypass to an excellent BOOT-extra healthy. heavily, that's the perfect suggestion i will supply you. distinctive boots are made for various feet, an excellent boot extra healthy will set you up with comfortable boots for the form of snowboarding you like. I unquestionably have a pair of Salomon Ghosts, an excellent freeride/freestyle boot, and that i like them.
