I'm writing an essay about NAFTA. Did Obama reinstate it or not?

    Its been there since George Bush Sr..Clinton signed it but it was always Seniors baby . Nafta and all the other trade deals are pushed by conservatives so rich folks can make money at the poor guys expense.

    Nafta has been going on since bill clinton. He enacted it on January 1 1994

    "reinstate"?

    i don't recall it ever being rescinded.

    edit: Keith M is correct. also, to get it past the democratic senate, clinton had to go back to mexico and negotiate parallel treaties dealing with workers' rights and environmental protections - supposedly to level the playing field a bit.

    i'm sure the job loss would have been MORE severe were it not for the presence of those auxilliary treaties.
