All you need is a good sized room or closet. Any will do. The CHEAPEST way to do this is to get some thick (clean) blankets and hang them on your closet walls or around wherever you are recording. Get a good computer or laptop and download free softwares to it such as audacity or studio one. Get a usb plug and play microphone and headphones (not earbuds) that sound good and can do the job. Also get a pop filter. I hate when people don't use them. If you want you can buy it, make it, or just put a clean sock around your microphone That's all you really need. But if you want you can get some speakers to plug into your computer so that you can listen to how your song sounds on other devices. You can get a shock filter to get reduce vibrations

Maybe I would start my own video blog and become a YouTube personality if I had my own camera.

Never until I retire, like in 40 years or so. Then I might put one of me singing or something, but not now.
