Having trouble playing a friend online with Madden 10?
Neither of us have any trouble playing against random people, but we can't seem to play against each other. We'll get to the initial match screen where you select teams & settings, but can't get past that. Both of us hit ready to play, and it never gets past 'connecting..' to the check-mark and on to the game. We don't have this problem when playing anyone else, just each other.
Playstation 2, both using wired connections to our routers, broadband internet connections
Any ideas?

Well, on XBox 360, I had trouble playing against my friend on a number of games aswell as being unable to talk to him, whilst not having the same problem with others. If due to the same cause, it will be your NAT. NAT being Open allows you to talk and play to a wider audience of people and can be closed without you being aware. Unfortunatly I am unaware of Network settings for PS2 but on 360: 1) Network Settings, 2) Edit Network Settings, 3) IP Adress (Change to Manual then change last Digit. REMEMBER ORIGINAL LAST DIGIT), 4) Test Connection, 5) Change IP Adress back to Original last Digit, 6) Test Network Connections (Should now be open)
