Smoking is kills: written on cigarette packs, Still our government does not banned why?

Smoking and drinking comes from the early stage of human being. In older days kings used to drink and smoke. As the same people also did it. They used it in their free time. Even they used it for warming their body from cold.

But now a days students and youths are addict to it. They have to come out of it. Instead of saying not to smoke in public they can simply ban those things.

Before 10 years lottery was popular in tamil nadu. Many of them was addict to it. many of them who are getting daily salary will spent their money for drink and lottery and only the balance will go for his house. Then chief minister Ms.Jayalalitha decided to spot lottery in tamil nadu. It was hard for the people here to forget. But when days rolled they all forget that there was lottery in tamil nadu When today'c chief minister Mr.karunanidhi made a study, the report said that the family members are happy only because their is no lottery. So only he did not bring it back.

As the same smoking and drinking can only be stopped by banning them. After sprite was banned in tamil nadu there was some illegal shops, but now it has been cleared. still there are some we can clear it. As the same when we stop these things there will be some illegal works which can be stopped soon.

Good, overpopulation is ruining the planet and it wouldn't hurt if even more smoking-related deaths popped up in that human horror film they call the news. We are well aware that cigarettes will slowly kill us in 30 years time, so we don't need a ticket and de-legalizing legislation on top of that.

Yeah, that's great. Just let the government take away everything that's bad for us. That includes cheeseburgers, sugar, pizza.

What a life that would be. Healthy citizens with no freedom. You know it's not a new idea. I saw a documentary on a certain government trying to make their citizens perfect healthy specimens.

My answer would be very harsh to read but its fact and every one has to accept it.

Every one new the subject global warming but still people are wasting energy in terms of Electricity, Fuel for Vehicles, Paper Prints, non-recycleable polythene / bottles, etc.

In this regard, not only Government, many Voluntary organisations, NGOs post advertisements everywhere to save Power and Land. Do you think does any one of them are concentrating on the subject?

My answer lies in my above questions. Directly or indirectly, man is ending his life himself.

Big tobacco companies spend millions on donations to government officials in their campaigns. Also, tobacco helps support the economy. I don't smoke, but I wouldn't want the government to tell me I can't smoke if I chose because where would it end? Will they tell us not to eat certain foods because it's unhealthy? Not to do certain sports because it's too dangerous? The government should only suggest, but I would want the final say to be mine.

The Carolina's and the tobacco lobby. The south gets to much money for growing the stuff and the taxes it generates.

They make a lot of money from the taxes paid on cigarettes. Then they save money by people dieing, they don't have to pay out social security, or other benefits. .

Because the citizens of the country have not via their elected Representatives chosen to make them against the law.

They love to collect the tax, they don't love the health care concerns it causes. They try to play both fields and have the score remain neutral.

It's a love hate relationship.

Because the tobacco lobby is one of the biggest with a lot of money.
