Going to WDW in Orlando-- Best way to surprise the kids?

First time to Disney--

Looking for a unique way to surprise the kids and tell them. Would love to hear how you have surprised your kids? Scavenger hunts.. Puzzles? etc Thanks

Update:

We would be flying and the children are elementary/middle school age. I would like to surprise them about a month in advance so they have plenty of time to be excited!

We did several different things to surprise our kids. One time we printed a sign saying "WE ARE GOING TO WALT DISNEY WORLD" and covered up all the letters separately. We labeled the covers with different dates, and told them they could uncover the letters under each date after dinner on the appropriate night. If you split up the letters correctly, it will be quite a while before they figure out what the big message is.

Another time we didn't tell them where we were going until we were actually at the airport. They thought they were there to see mom and dad off on a "parents only" trip. We had my brother there acting like he'd be taking care of them for a week. We took pictures as we told them... PRICELESS!

My grandkids have been to Disney World twice with us, and can't wait for our next trip. We're going in October, but we haven't told them yet. We always drive over there, so we're just going to pack everyone up and tell them we're going camping, then wait to see how long it takes them to figure it out on the way over. They are 10 and 4, so the 10-year-old will certainly recognize the route after awhile.

    I can't wait! Have a great trip!

Suprise them by giving them a stuffed Mickey doll from the Disney store. Attach a little note to it saying '' Mickey Mouse is waiting for you...'' Then tell them the news. I think they'll be pretty suprised. Especially if they have never been there before.

How old are your kids? Where are you coming from? We have a fun-loving 7 year old. We blindfolded him one time to go someplace. He had fun doing that. You could play 20 questions, a puzzle, make them find it with map coordinates, etc.
