    you plug in the ipod.

    its settings appears in itunes.

    select the music tab

chance 'Sync All' to Sync selected.

then chose which artists, genre and or playlists you want.. if thats not everythign then create playlists for that ipod..

    Click APPLY then SYNC.

    DONE!

The ipod is designed to work with and be the slave to itunes on the computer to which its paired. each iPod can only be paired to ONE computer at a time but each computer can have up to 255 ipods on the same library/Account..

If you do not pair a ipod to a computer you cannot alter its settings.(settings are altered in itunes with the ipod attached its settings summary page appears once plugged in and that's where you alter the settings for THAT ipod only.

you CAN Transfer PAID music and apps by logging into your itunes store account and authorising your computer (via the store menu) BEFORE plugging in the ipod then selecting Transfer purchases form the pop-up or the File Menu. However this will ONLY transfer BOUGHT music and APPS and not the imported stuff

If you pair your ipod to a new computer it overwrites what's on it. (say yes to the Pair with these computer message)

Simply dragging music onto an ipod does NOT make that music playable it then acts as hard disk. To make the music playable you MUST use itunes to sync with it as only itunes can put the music files in the correct file names (not the same as on the computer) in hidden folders and create the hidden indexes for them to be playable.

When you pair the ipod to a computer it erases ALL the previous library and tracks and replaces it with what the current computer want it to.

if you want to erase the ipod you select RESTORE form the ipod's tab in itunes then it re formats and re installs the ipods firmware resetting everything to default values and removing the lock (except for the touch which asks for the code to allow this)

the ipod needing a master player to sync with is NOT unique to apple Creative, Zune, Sony al have one of one sort or another.

well, i know a method to delete songs and movies from ipod , maybe you can have a try

if there are 1000 songs in the itunes and you just need 100 songs. The best choice for you is to choose and sync the 100 songs. Therefore you can have the 100 and the other 900 are left in the itunes.

hope it will be helpful for you

When you connect you iPod Touch to your iTunes, you should see your iTouch under the devices on the left navigation panel. Click your iTouch on that panel, go to the Music tab, and you can individually check off which songs or playlists you don't want on your iTouch anymore. Afterwards, click sync and the songs/playlists you deselected will not be on your iTouch, but they will still be on your iTunes!

When you plug in your ipod, there should be a box that says sync checked boxes or something similar. Make sure you click that box and uncheck anything that you do not want on your ipod.

    -Hope this helps
