Bad meat, should I return it to supermarket?

I bought 2 racks of baby back ribs, and made just 1 of the racks. They were not good, very tough and seemed more like spear ribs that baby back. I really don't care but my boyfriend is insisting I return the other rack. What do you think? Have you ever returned 1/2 eatten meat to a supermarket??

Update:

It was $25 dollars worth of meat. clearly labeled as babybacks. I am embarrased to return them, its just not something I normally do, but like i said, my bf is insisting that i do.

Update 2:

cooked it same day that I bought it. Froze the other rack right away, before we ate the first rack.

You can try but I really doubt they will take back the meat. Since you already cooked some of it, there is no chance of the store reselling it - it would have to go in the garbage. They will not want to refund you for it.

I would only return it if it was off. If a mistake has been made in your selection, that is not the supermarkets fault. As for any mistake in the labeling, they will not swap it for you, they will argue that their butchers know what they are doing blah blah blah

You can try, but I don't think you will get anywhere

Maybe it turn out the way it did by the way you cooked them. It might not even be the Supermarket's fault.

I would take it back, out of principle. The supermarket won't argue with you, in my experience.

don't bother. that's what meat is in supermarkets. it's a piss-poor quality, they make it to look fresh. in a documentary Supermarket secrets they cut off the surface from old meat and put it back as fresh meat. food irradiation can also make it look fresh. it's disgusting what they do to food.
