Is The History Channel's 'Apocalypse Man' filmed at real locations in New Orleans?

Rudy Reyes appears to be breaking into abandoned buildings in a city. He occasionally mentions stories from Katrina; for example, that no libraries were looted (as he breaks into an abandoned one whose bookshelves were covered in plastic tarps).

You can't believe anything the History Channel says lately. Its CEO's wanted bigger ratings and more money, so they sold out and perpetuate the dumb 2012 hoax. It has become the "Balle Channel" (Italian for "Bull$h!+ Channel). Some scientists are liars and frauds. Anyone who promotes hoaxes is a fraud indeed, whether it's Jeff Salz or Joe Blowhard. There's never been any real proof the Mayans said anything about the end of the world, because they didn't say such a thing. No calendar ends. They just have cycles. Frauds predicted doom at the ends of every century on the Gregorian calendar, and Jose Arguelles did the same thing with the obscure Mayan calendar. Even if primitive people predicted the End, there's no good reason to believe them. Anyhow, the date of the end of a long Mayan calendar cycle is disputed. There's no reason to believe frauds' calculations that are sloppy.

I noticed that too. However, it was filmed in Detroit.

The first large building he broke into I believe was the Packard Motors Plant near Grand Boulevard. The tall building he put the CB on I believe was the Broderick Building near Grand Circus Park. I could be wrong, It's been years since I wandered around downtown.

    Source(s): I lived there.
