ford 4 wheel drive question?
this is a stupid question to many of you i'm sure but I dont know... on my stock 2001 f-150, while it's in 4 wheel drive is the front end limited slip? what about the rear end? i know the rear end is limited slip in 2wd but i didn't know if it changed

Limited slip is a option.
Check your door jamb sticker and see what code for rears is . If has a letter number combo its equipped with limited in the rear .
For front and back both had to check other box .
Also you can get a printout from Ford of what your truck had new. And of the Ford Fanatics sites could help you get info on that .

i had a 1997 f150 with the exact same system and i beat the hell out of it mudding i can tell you for sure its ALWAYS limited slip in the front and rear no matter what its in. i now own a 05 silverado z71 and it at least has a locker in the rear all time even in 4wd...(still limited slip in the front tho)
