How do I kill the syslogin.exe process?
I recently added a CPU usage meter to my Windows sidebar and noticed that my core 1 and 2 are operating at 60%-80% at idle. I opened processes in task manager and a process called "syslogin.exe" is running constantly. I ended it and my core 1 & 2 instantly dropped to around 15%. After about 10 seconds, it popped right back up. I tried it again...same thing. No matter how many times I end the process, it comes right back. How do I kill it for good?

2 AnswersFord1 decade ago2003 Mitsubishi Gallant Sony stereo installation problem?
I put a Sony stereo in my 2003 Mitsubishi Gallant. I ordered the car-specific wiring harness off of the internet. I soldered everything together and plugged it in. It all works great, except for the radio. I can hear the radio, but it is very fuzzy. It is almost like the antenna isn't connected at all. Which wire is for the antenna?
1 AnswerCar Audio1 decade agoGood pranks at beach house for a week?
Later on I'm going to the beach for a week and staying in a rented beach house with my friend (we're 13), his brother and his friend (they're 12), and his stepsister and her friend (they're 13 too), and of course his parents. What are some really funny, harmless (for the most part), and NOT MESSY pranks we can play? The simpler, the better, because we are renting this place and we're not going to have much stuff. Thanks.

I thought of planting some bamboo in my backyard as a kind of wall between the woods, but I have heard people say it spreads like crazy and it is a huge mistake. Has anyone ever dealt with it? Should I do it or not?
5 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoBob Marley - "I Am Legend"?
In I Am Legend, when Will Smith quotes Bob Marley, did Bob really say that? I know in real life he was shot and performed at "Smile Jamacia" two days later. But did he really say "The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off. Why should I? Light up the darkness." Also, was that really his theory, that you could cure racism and hate with love and music?

1 AnswerFord1 decade agoWindows XP computer won't startup. (HELP!)?
I have a HP desktop computer with XP. I was working yesterday, and a blue screen popped up and the first line said something like "Windows has detected a problem and is shutting down to prevent damage to your computer." I can't remember what all of the text in the middle of the page said, but I do remember the last line saying "Beginning physical memory dump." The computer then shut down. When I turn it back on, it displays the blue HP startup screen (like normal), then it goes to a black screen that says "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key." That is as far as I can get it to go. (I am on my laptop now.) Anything else I press, it just thinks for a minute, then displays the message again. I can't get it to go to my desktop, or even the login screen. Any help is appreciated.

1 AnswerOther - Cars & Transportation1 decade agoHow do I share files on my home network?
I have a HP desktop computer with Windows XP SP2, and a Toshiba laptop (I would highly recommend) with Windows Vista. I have a D-Link wireless router. I can get wireless Internet to work great, and I can also print wirelessly from the laptop. I have a San Disk flash drive, but I have to plug it in, wait for it to load, copy the file to a folder on the flash drive, safely remove it, and then repeat on the other computer. How do I share files over the network without plugging anything in?
