That is actually an extremely profound question and you probably don't realize that it is. God is omnipotent and therefore not bound by any one description that language can hold. Therefore God is both a verb and a noun and also much more and not at the same time. Doesn't that make your head hurt thinking about it? hahaha People put so much time trying to define God instead of just appreciating that as humans we will never fully comprehend the awesomeness of God

The great thing about god as a verb is that you no longer have to anthropomorphize it. Because once you do that and make it a being, then you have to decide if it is male or female, black or white, straight or gay, and it just goes to pot from there. God is the act of loving. God is the forward motion of life, so it is all knowing because it is the act of everything. God is both the good things in life and the bad. Understanding god as a verb means no longer having to ask, "why god?". The answer is always that god is in the living of life, and not someone somewhere else pulling the strings of our behavior. God as a verb makes everything in the bible make sense. You no longer have to believe in the facts of the bible, and instead, can focus of the truth in the bible. Understanding god as a verb made it possible for me to return to a church, and that is, literally, an act of god.

Neither. The word 'god' (little g) is a noun. But the word 'God' (big G) is whats called a 'proper noun'. Neither are a verb as one cannot 'god' something.

God is a noun. It doesn't even work as a verb. "I am going to God to school today?"

God is a Noun (person, place, or thing), who is constantly in Verb mode (action). Hows that?

A proper noun.

Proper noun if you're referring to the God of Abrahamic religions. If you're just using it to describe any deity, than it is not.
Ex.
"What god(s) do the indigenous people of Australia believe in, if any?"
Source(s): "God is not a person, place, or thing. God is beyond any word, concept, description, and transcends all doctrine. God can be experienced." Pretty sure she meant in a grammatical sense, bro. - AutumnWynd777Lv 71 decade ago
