I heard that she was considered one. Why is she considered one?

because she killed herself in defiance of Rome and was a lover to Julious Caesar.

Well, she shouldn't be considered a 'Roman' historical figure per say because she wasn't Roman. She can be considered an Egyptian historical figure, but she herself was Macedonian and a descendant of Ptolemy the first who was a Macedonian General of Alexander the Great. I can understand that her life was intertwined with that of Rome's history since Rome conquered Egypt. Also, Cesar fathered her child, but that is about all.

Because she was married to Mark Anthony, Caesar's second-in-command
