how do i set up this filter in a 10 gallon tank my hood has no holes or something to connect the hang on filter theres parts thats marked for it buy i dont know what to do

I agree with the other person. I have the same kind of tank and i garauntee you will need to cut it out. Make sure you FILL the filter with water before you plug it in otherwise you will burn up the motor.

Most hoods will have a plastic "punch out" for the filter. Choose the one that fits the filter best, then cut it out with a powerful scissors, following the line. I wouldn't recommend "punching" it out, as it's intended, because of the possibility of the entire hood breaking as you're doing it (personal experience).

what i have to do is get 2water pureafierys and 1 cleaing sponge and put it were the water comes out and add water to it and turn it on :D
