So why are jews still in gentile lands?
The diaspora should be over. Israel has existed since 1948. The whole point of Israel was to have a homeland, and now they do. But if jews are still living abroad, and not filling it up with its own people, its not much of a homeland, is it? So, why aren't they going?
To ms. Kosher and everyone else here and there. What does 22 or 222 muslim “homelands” have to do with you (assuming you a jew) living in israel or gentile lands. Fact, israel exist. Fact, israel is the homeland of the jews, not some jews, not a few, not many, no, ALL JEWS. Fact, israel exists ONLY because jews live there. Fact, if jews didn’t live in the geographic area in which we call isreal, israel would NOT exist. So you, ms. Kosher and your ilk who answered this question in so adamant refusal to live in israel, you are guilty. You are guilty of contributing to the eventual cessation of israel existence by you NOT being there and contributing to an expanding israel to the betterment of all jews.
I don't know if there is a disconnect here, with people understanding the question or what, but in anycase ill add this, hopefully it will help. as i read your comments, many of you stated that israel, is the homeland of the jews, fine, thats is understood and a fact. my point is what's the point of haveing a homeland, if one is not in that homeland to make a homeland. some of you say, well its there just in case bad things happen where im at, i/we can go to israel and be safe with own people. fine, my point is you can go to live in israel first before the bad situation happens elsewhere, and with you not being there it wouldn't affect you. makes sense to me. you would be safe, and also helping your nation and people thrive and expand to the heights of your abilities. now was that so difficult to comprehend?

Excuse me? Jews have been part of the fabric and history of America for a long time now. Why should they have to go anywhere? This is THEIR country too. They are just as American as I am!
You tell them Kosher Ninja Chick!

I'm not sure all Jews living today could comfortably fit in the State of Israel, it's a pretty tiny place. Also, I don't know about you, but I want to live in a place where I don't have to worry about being blown up simply for boarding a bus to go to work.
You ask why Jews are in "gentile" lands? Well, we are citizens of these nations, we own land here. Yes, we finally have a safe place to call our ancestral home, but that doesn't mean we all have to live there. Yes, the State of Israel exists, but so does China, yet more and more Chinese live abroad. I notice there are many Catholics outside of Rome and Anglicans outside of England. So.. what's your point, exactly?

Should my Irish American neighbords go to Dublin, according to you...or should the Jews just be targeted? After all, there is now an Irish homeland, too. The diaspora is not over because ignorant fools say it is. It will end when HaMoshiach comes, and until then, Jews can live wherever they damn well please. If it irritates you so much, I'm told there is always room for people like you to live in Saudi Arabia.
Peace

I'm Jewish and I live in the diaspora because that is where I was born and raised and it's where I work and raise my own children.
I'm here because I have every right to be here and if that bothers you then too bad because you don't get a say in where I or any other Jew chooses to live.
However if you find Jews hard to tolerate I hear that there aren't too many of us in Saudi Arabia and the weather is nice and sunny there too or so I believe.

Because we are living breathing humans who deserve respect.
Your entire question is twisted. It's got a view of homeland & of Jews that requires us to go "jump" when something says "how high."
Israel was created as a place Jews COULD go & from where Jews could defend themselves. That's it. That's what homeland means.
I'd be more respectful, but I really don't think you mean this question respectfully.

Great point Maria
He's not getting what has been a problem for people to get for centuries. Jews are loyal citizens of the countries they live in.

Humans are transient. Why aren't all Mexicans in Mexico? Why aren't all Chinese people in China? and million of Jews have moved to Israel from various places around the world. Don't Generalize.

The problem with your argument is that you make the assumption that all Jews are Israelis as well.
Therefor your point is moot because that's simply not true. There are US Jews, South American Jews, Asian Jews, and Jews that are not Israelis, live all over the planet.
Based on your " logic " all Catholics then should move to the Vatican City, which is actually a country, in Italy.
Nice try...but very uneducated.

First and foremost we remain here to irritate you.
According to Scripture the diaspora is not over until Moshiach comes. For it is only he take can restore All Israeli land, from the Euphrates to the Nile, so there is room enough for all of us.
Genesis 15:
18. On that day, the Lord formed a covenant with Abram, saying, "To your seed I have given this land, from the river of Egypt until the great river, the Euphrates river.

Er, there are 22 Muslim 'homelands', but we have millions of Muslims in Europe. You have a problem with that also, do you?
According to your 'logic', no Catholics should live outside Italy....
Or is it ONLY *Jews* you wish to see confined to one place of the planet...?
Israel = 0.01% of the Middle East. She's pretty crammed full, actually. She's also the only democracy in the whole region.
Personally, I think I'll stay right HERE - just to irritate YOU.

You can't have it both ways, Jews out of Israel because you think it belongs to the Arabs, or Jews living outside the land because you think they should be in Israel by being sarcastic.
So pick which one you think should happen and stick with it. :)
