HOW WOULD THE US FINANCIALLY SURVIVE IF WE NUKED THE MIDDLE EAST?

Only one third of the world's oil supply comes from the Middle East.

The rest of it comes from the North Sea, Russia, the Gulf of Mexico, and the oil fields off the shore of Brazil.

Sometime near the end of the 1980's, we were actually importing ZERO oil from the Middle East.

Those were the days when most people were driving Ford Escorts, Toyotas, and the new Honda Accord.

This caused such a dramatic fall in gasoline prices that by the time Clinton took office, the Hummer was enjoying the fastest growing popularity of all vehicles on the road. Ford went from the Escort to the Explorer, then the Expedition, then the Excursion monster SUV. GM made the Super Suburban, which was second only to a city bus in size, even though it was driven by a single occupant 90% of the time.

That's when we went back to importing oil from the Middle East.

If someone nuked Mecca, the end result would be world peace and trillions of lives saved. Most of the armed conflict in the world today is driven by Jihadist ideology, which of course only comes from Islam. Thus we can say that, but for Islam, most of the major flash points in the world today would not exist. The religion was founded by a warlord and has always been at war. Bringing this ugly chapter of human stupidity to and end would save countless lives. It really would. No question about it.

At the core of Islamic ritual is the daily "salat". Five times a day all muslim sheeple are supposed to pray toward the black lump in Mecca. If this holy load of crap were incinerated, the whole focal point of the religion would be gone. Muslim's couldn't even fulfill their duty of "Hajj" which is a requirement to visit the deadly place (stampedes can kill hundreds) once in a lifetime. The religion would die off in short order and the "Jihad" motive would fizzle out shortly.

Anyone who underestimates the power of Islam is foolish. Winston Churchill spoke in very plain language about the dangerous phenomena of Islam:

With the neutron bomb that became stepped forward interior the 70s the troops can walk in 3 days after without hazmat fits. yet no, nuking the middle east isn't a available answer.

Probably not well.

If we indiscriminately nuked an 1/8 of the world we might fall out of favor in international trade and with our major debt purchasers (China.)

We've got plenty of our own oil here , the Libs just block any attempt for us to extract it.

I suspect a crippled Middle East would create a justification to extract some of our own.

Would have to nuke China, so we don't have to repay their debt.

Every US citizen is screwed financially, there is no digging out of the hole Congress has created. Mark my words, the hole will just keep getting deeper and deeper.
