it is millions of dollars and the whole thing is dirty as can be

BCS bowls pay out somewhere in the neighborhood of 14 to 18 million per team. The money goes to the conference where it is divided equally among the member institutions.

not too sure but maybe around 7-8 million and the money is shared with every team in the conference.
