I got a ticket for an open container (not while driving) yesterday in a public park in Colorado. I gave my proper information, but the officer never took my drivers license info and the address I gave him is different from the one on my drivers license. What happens if I just don't pay? Anything?

I am definitely a n00b about computers. I just bought a new Sony Vaio VPCS111FM from Best Buy and I'm having issues with the wireless adapter randomly shutting off due to thermal throttling.

I had never heard of thermal throttling, so I looked it up. Apparently, when computers get too hot, they now have a built-in feature to protect the hardware.

However, I'm a VERY casual user. The thermal throttling kicks in when I am doing extremely simple tasks like browsing through photo albums on Facebook. I'm not running a lot of programs and am running like 5 tabs max in Firefox.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get around this issue?

I am trying to figure out how old the image is from Google Streetview for NYC at 53rd and 6th ave. Anyone have an idea of how to figure that out?

So, I have this amazing girlfriend. Everything about her is great. She's got awesome friends, she's smart and ambitious, really pretty, etc.

However, something is just not there in the bedroom. It's not that she never wants to have sex... she requests it all the time, but while we're doing it, she doesn't seem 'that' into it. She never grabs my penis or anything (and I have told her explicitly that I like it when she does) and rarely gives me head (only on request). She also doesn't keep herself very well manicured (I do, and have requested that she do and I've told her that my oral would be much better if there was no hair down there).

I don't want to throw away an otherwise very awesome relationship, but I've tried talking to her and nothing seems to be working. How do I talk to her without crushing her self-confidence? Should I just move on?

I'm at work on Windows 2000. Every time I open a window, it has large icons of all the files, which is extremely hard to sift through. I always have to switch the view to list. Is there a way to get it to open in list format as the default?

I live in Chicago. I remember when I was searching for an apartment last year I found a site that had a map (google maps style) with the location of each listed apartment. It was awesome, but I have no idea what it was called and I can't find it anywhere. It was national, and worked for other cities, too.

So, I missed the first 2 delivery attempts for a UPS package. This morning, I left a note on the door saying to leave the package in back, but it must have blown away or something because the UPS site says the delivery attempt failed.

What is the number to call the UPS service center to see if I can go pick up the package now?

It didn't come with a recovery disc, but I seem to remember reading somewhere when I bought the computer that the disc wasn't needed. How do I do it though?

So, I had an interesting revelation while on my way back upstairs from buying my Diet Mountain Dew. You know how, often times, when you scan your card in the swiper thingy the security people will say, "Thank you"?

Well, most of the time I will respond with a quiet, "mm hmm," or "uh huh", or "no problem." But seriously, I say it so quietly that they have almost no chance of hearing it if they don't have super sonic hearing (which I suppose is possible... if that were a prerequisite for their jobs that would heighten security in office buildings). I mean, should I say, "You're welcome." in a normal voice? That seems awkward to me. I strongly feel that they don't need to thank me for my swipe, because my reciprocity forces me to respond, but not in a manner they can hear. It makes me feel better about myself, but do they see me as that ****** that never responds to their thanking me?

Has anyone ever thought about this?
