Sony Vaio wireless adapter keeps shutting off due to thermal throttling?

I am definitely a n00b about computers. I just bought a new Sony Vaio VPCS111FM from Best Buy and I'm having issues with the wireless adapter randomly shutting off due to thermal throttling.

I had never heard of thermal throttling, so I looked it up. Apparently, when computers get too hot, they now have a built-in feature to protect the hardware.

However, I'm a VERY casual user. The thermal throttling kicks in when I am doing extremely simple tasks like browsing through photo albums on Facebook. I'm not running a lot of programs and am running like 5 tabs max in Firefox.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get around this issue?

    id say reinstall windows but since your a noob that's probably not a good option, either return it to bestbuy if possible, but if you can't do that buy a cooling pad
