How would you redesign my kitchen?
Check out my kitchen - http://www.uniksolutions.com/kitchen.jpg (See the picture.)
What would you do to my kitchen to redesign it? I'm trying not to spend a lot of money, so Im looking for a major overhaul at a cheap price?
Would you paint the cabinents and add new hardware? The cabinents are in good shape, I'm just scared that if I replace the hardware, the stain will show an imprint where the old hardware is.
Any ideas?

Personally I would paint the cabinets..remove the hardware, strip off the finish and lightly sand. If there are any marks from the hardware, then it will most likely be in the finish and not be visible once this has been removed. The light sanding will smooth out any problems anyway. I would use a good bonder, and then paint. New hardware to spruce it up and you will be surprised by the whole new look for a small amount of money. I wouldn't suggest much more than painting the cabinets because you cannot see the whole kitchen/lighting/sink/...etc. Update your fixtures and if you are doing a whole makeover you can change the whole room, but it sounds like you are just looking at painting out the cabinetry.
