Why do wing-nuts think everything is about Al Gore? Climategate isn't a storm to any SANE person on the planet; Global Climate Change was not an invention of Al Gore's, but is SCIENCE. (I know, wing-nuts reject reason and fact, and thus reject science, but I just wanted to point that out.) Even if ONE graph he used was wrong, what, exactly, should he face a hearing FOR? Why doesn't a well-known private citizen have the right to promote a cause?

Modeling data that takes information from multiple sources will always involve masking inconsistent data in order to make a visual representation. It's just how it works. You have to do it or else the graph is illegible. Scientists then describe the methods used to do that, provide ways to access the data used to make the graph, and all you have to do is look! The "hide the decline" remark has been so taken out of context that it bears no resemblance to what was being talked about: one period during one year did not match all of the data from the rest of that year and all of the years before and after it. They couldn't explain the source of the discrepancy and were therefore forced to assume that it was human error and set about trying to figure out that happened. Until you actually understand the scientific method you should just keep quiet about it.

You really have nothing but two or three emails that when taken totally out of context (after being obtained illegally) make it appear that all of global warming is totally made up.

Micheal Mann is a fraud and should be prosecuted for his fraud. He created the hockey stick by deleting any data that did not correspond with what he wanted to show. As a result of that fraud, billions of dollars have been wasted.
