Why does Obama want to close down Guantanamo Bay Prison? Is it really necessary?
Is it because the prison is too run down and would cost too much to repair? What is his rationale, or does he really have one?

No it's definitely not necessary, and to me it's strictly a political move to appease the far left. Six prisoners from gitmo have been released and gone back to Yemen. Wow, that's funny. Where was the Christmas day terrorist trained. That's right, Yemen!!

He thinks that it hurts America's image abroad. But at this point, I have no sympathy for Al Qaeda terrorists and thugs.
Even if he closes Guantanamo Bay, do you really think that most countries in Europe will actually contribute more to the war on terror? I think not.

What reason is there to keep that base open? They still try to scare us with this Cuba thing, ( like things haven't change) You can transfer the prisnors to a different place
