When Rome began to fall what two emperors tried to save it? How did they do this?

If I recall correctly, Rome fell over a series of years.

Caesar was king, and three other politicians were fighting for the throne. All of the high ranking officials were hating Caesar, and were plotting his murder, which turned out successful.

None, if any powerful people at the time were concentrating on the state of their empire. Roads began to deteriorate, and most importantly, moral value decreased, which began the Gladiator fights.

All of this combined led to Rome's failures.

Rome has already split into Western and Eastern halves. Only the Western half fell. The Eastern half tried to save it but it was never as good.
