ps3 sony offical headset question?
Anyone know why my headset will not play in my ear? I can talk to people and they can talk back but their voices go through the tv not the earpiece. My headset worked fine with my old 40 gig system and it didnt start this crap til I got my ps3 slim.

If you have the Sony official headset, then this is what you do.
Go to "Settings" then "Accessory Settings" and select "Manage Bluetooth Devices" If headset is listed there, press triangle, and delete it.
Now, get your mini usb cable, (detach it from the head set cradle if that's where it is) and plug it directly into the top of your headset (there is a flap on the top of the headset hiding a usb port)
And plug the other end into the PS3. The power indicator on the headset lights up in solid green for two seconds to indicate that the headset and the PS3 have been paired.
Do the above instead of using "Discovery Mode" because that is just for non Sony headsets:)

Do the following on the Cross Media Bar (XMB):
Settings > Audio Device Settings
In there, you can find a bunch of settings. Go to the first one (I think). It should say Input Device with the name of your Bluetooth headset. Under that should be Output Device. Go to Output Device and press whatever it says. Go up or down to where it says your headset, and the voices should work through your headset from then on.
You will be able to do what I wrote above while in a game or video chat room, so try doing it during a game to hear the effect in real time. Don't forget to press X to confirm that you want to hear through your headset.
