Have you heard someone - or have you mixed-up - "incident" "incidence" "incidences" "incidents" "instances"?

AND SO ON!?

So what are the differences? Some are obvious - others not so!

Incidentses is NOT a word for instance!

Incident - incidence

incidents - incidence

incidents - incidences

incidents - incidence - incidences - instances

MAN!

The first responder was incorrect in a couple of particulars.

The only person I've heard confuse these terms was a workshop presenter who failed to look up the terms before class, and attempted to use them in ignorance through the presentation.

If *you* have a problem with the base terms (incident, incidence, instance), then simply look up the definitions. Are you having a problem with what you found? Is there a particular paradigm in which the restricted meanings give you trouble?
