    Lard is a solid triglyceride with 3 fatty acid chains about 18 carbons long.No double bonds.

    Your answerer is correct, but I was taught that lard contains some oleic acid ester, which would mean that it is singly-unsaturated.

    Saturated fats is when all the carbon atoms in the hydrocarbon chains of its fatty acids are linked to the max. possible no. of hydrogen atoms whereas unsatured fats, not all of the carbon atoms in the hydrocarbon chains of it's fatty acids are combined with the max. possible no. of hydrogen atoms. Saturated fat is single bond c-c and unsaturated is double bond c=c.
