Goiter was first discovered when people moved away from the seacoast and stopped having salt water fish in their diet. The fish were the source of iodine for the thyroid. We add iodine to table salt so everyone gets enough iodine. Sea salt has a label that states no iodine added, and not enough to prevent goiter. If the fish have iodine, why does not sea salt?

The drill bit is about 1/2 inch.The holes are about 3 feet from the ground, some poles have more than one hole. They seem to be doing this all over town. Now the holes are filled. They dug all around the poles, but not very deep.The poles are telephone, power poles and are creosoted.. What are they doing this for?

We are casual bird watchers. While walking several miles a day, we have seen many dead pigeons, seagulls, Canada geese, mallard ducks, buzzards(turkey vultures), and some song birds.What is killing these birds? and who cares? With bird flu around, you would think some agency would want to know about dead birds.
