The average rate of hair growth per year is 6 inches, but it also depends on your diet (are you eating healthy, are you eating at all) and also your age. I am 13 and in august, i had my hair cut so the tips of my hair were just below the bump on the back of your neck (i think that's were the spinal cord starts, but I'm not well educated on anatomy) and since then, it has grown about 2 inches.
