Is one better than the other?
I have to feed my dog a bland diet... I just wanted to know if one kinda rice is better than the other. Minute rice or Regular rice??
My dog has diarhhea... this is what the vet recommened.
And what a vet recommend is the brand of food that they are paid to recommend. Vets are not quailified nutrionists.. and most vets recomment science diet or iams... i would never feed that garbage to my dog.

Either rice is fine. Brown rice is much healthier for dogs, but white rice is going to be easier on the stomach...when I need to feed a bland diet, I use boiled chicken or hamburger (50% of the food) with white rice (25%) and oatmeal (25%).

Brown rice is the best for dogs. I also will use long-grain white rice if we are out of brown, but quick substitutes are no good. Use a rice cooker.

I guess it depends on what your dog is ok with, monitor how your dog reacts to the different rices and try it in different ways, maybe even mix them if you can't decide.

You shouldn't have to make your own dog food. There are commercially available special blends for dogs with special needs. Check with your veterinarian for advice on which brands would be best.
