i have crooked teeth and need braces?

WELL I HAVE HAD THEM FOR ALMOST 5 MONTHS NOW AND THEY DONT HURT ALOT WHEN THEY PUT THEM ON AND MINE ARE PURPLE AND THE COLORS ARE FREE AND THE BRACES COST $2,000 OR $3,000. SPACERS ARE REALLY ANNOYING BUT OH WELL...SO YEAH I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK!((:

I have braces, and they're certainly not pleasant but I know they will be well worth it. I can answer your question regarding crooked teeth because mine were just slightly crowded... I have clear braces on, not coloured, and it costs about $6,000AUS. Don't be nervous, I mean they hurt a bit for the first week and your mouth will feel all clunky and weird but you get used to it. I cannot wait to get my braces off, it will be wonderful and I hope you get a beautiful smile by the end of it :) Just take a painkiller before and after the procedure and stick to soft food, mainly soup. They will stick the brackets onto your teeth with a hot glue type thng... You may feel a bit of pressure and uncomfort. Then they click the wire into place and your teeth will feel very tight and painful. After that though, it's okay :) Just chill and breathe because it will be well worth it.

Spacers do hurt. You need to take panadol or something similar to ease the pain. They basically feel like chunks of meat stuck between your teeth. You might need to eat things like soup, noodles, mashed potatoe, or anything else that doesn't require much chewing. They're just annoying, but not that bad. Braces cost me about $5000. You don't have to pay it all at once though. Every time you get them tightened(which is about every 6 weeks) you pay some of it. Not all dentists do coloured bands, most do though. Ask them when you go. The coloured bands are free though. You actually get to chose when you go to get them. You can just get the silver/gray or other colours. About every 6 weeks when you get them tightened you get to change the colours. When you get braces on it hurts, and kind of feels weird. When you just get them on it will feel really weird. It will pass in a couple of days.About a week. Just eat things that don't require chewing such as soup, noodles, mashed potatoes etc... I had really crooked teeth. It hurt for about a week, you can ease the pain by eating soft foods and taking panadol or something similiar. I've had braces for two months and I can't even tell they're on. My mom got amazed at difference only after two months. So did I, and I had really crooked teeth.

Yes it's gonna hurt and spacers suck, but eventually you won't be able to feel the braces in your mouth. The color things are like tiny bands that help keep the wires in place so they are necessary and don't cost a thing. They are part of braces. But remember this-WEAR YOUR ELASTiCS!! If nit it'll prolong your treatment! And do not double up and do what they tell you. broken brackets suck :(

I had one tooth that my brother always made fun of me for cause he said I was gonna swallow it. Haha. But now, after braces, my teeth are like perfect!

You will experience some pain, but everybody does who gets braces. Just take some Advil or Tylenol and it should help.

It doesn't cost more to get the color things, which are called o-rings or chains. They come with your braces! :)

crooked teeth braces

It hurts a little bit, but you eventually get used to it. Food and the flesh in the mouth usually gets stuck in wiring. Price depends on your teeth shape and color things are usually free.

after about two weeks you barely noticee them. 1st few days teeth hurt. then you get used to not having food stuck in your braces then you get used to that seriously painful feeling of the metal part of your braces against the inside of your cheek. it felt like it was cutting my mouth and i ended up getting some sores. and one time there was this metal piece that stuck to the inside of my cheek and so i tried to get it off (it felt like a needle) but i couldn't so the only way to take it out was if i ripped out of the side of my mouth and so then i did and i started bleeding. (sorry if you didn't understand that. it's easier to say in person)

i have mine really crooked, and it does hurt, but its a sign that its working.

spacers arent bad, its just a bit uncomfortable, braces are a bit worse.

i don't think it will cost extra if u get the colors.

spacers will bug you like krazi...but after a while you'll get over the fact you have metal teeth in your mouth. and no it doesnt cost more to get color...
