Why can't I see this drive in windows?..?
I have an old drive that crashed on me (wouldn't boot) about a year ago. I now need data off it... Yuck. So my motherboard uses SATA and both the broken drive and my current drive are. So I plug the broken drive in to the SATA2 spot and boot. When in windows I see it "find" the broken drive during startup showing the manufacturer and model. However once booted the broken drive is not in "my computer".
Any ideas how to access this p.o.s?

Check in Disk Management, and see if it is recognized in there. If so, change the drive letter, and give it a dedicated drive letter.
