Examples with good and bad pit stops? specific races?
I am teaching a class of elementary age students and we are doing a unit study on NASCAR, I am hoping to find video examples of good and bad pit stops. I have almost the entire 2009 season recorded, but don't have time to watch it all to find what I need. Anyone with a memory better than mind know which race it was when the crew didn't tighten a lug nut all the way? Or when the crew made some other mistake that cost the driver track position or points?
I teach at a homeschool co-op, and we are doing a lapbook about NASCAR. Its a unit study, even though we organize the unit around NASCAR there is still plenty of academics involved. From handwriting practice on NASCAR related themes, to Art (designing a paint scheme for a car), to science (lots of physics involved in the way the cars are designed.) It makes learning more interesting.
